Leona Mae McNeel, 76, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at home surrounded by family.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524, with Reverend Terry Hodges officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday January 5, 2016 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Odessa Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Crossroad’s Hospice, First Baptist Church Youth Group or First Baptist Church “Family Foods” Group. Leona was born on February 22, 1939 in Odessa, MO to Earl Barker and Nancy Elizabeth (Duke) Barker. Earl passed away at an early age, Leona was raised by James W. Graham and her mother Nancy Graham. Leona married Dwayne Thomas McNeel on March 8, 1974 in Miami, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, she enjoyed, bowling, playing cards, going to the boat, video games, crocheting, mushroom hunting and having lunch with the Old Hen’s Club.
In addition to her husband Dwayne, survivors include three children, Bill Cobb, Jr. of Odessa, MO, Tracy Peter and husband Curt of Odessa, MO and Dallas Moody of Odessa, MO; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a brother, Eddie Graham and wife Linda of Odessa, MO, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Leona was preceded in death by a grandson, Evan Hedicke; brother, Jimmie Dillon Graham, a sister, Judy Copenhaver; a nephew, Brandon Copenhaver; and a niece, Linette Graham.
