Laura Rock, 84, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Monday June 13, 2016 at home surrounded by family.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday June 17, 2016 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306, S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday June 17, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Greenton Cemetery. Laura was born on March 12, 1932 in Kragon, Kentucky to John and Armina (Fouch) Butler. She married Edward Junior Rock on November 6, 1973 in Oklahoma. Laura was a member of the Greenton Baptist Church and an avid supporter of the 700 Club. In addition to spending time with her family and friends she enjoyed gardening, sewing and garage saling.
Survivors include a daughter, Debra Kay Wagner and husband Larry of Wellington, MO; five grandchildren, Laurie Stuart and husband Andrew of Bremerton, Washington, Joshua Collom and wife Chrissy of Springfield, MO, Rebbecca Alldredge and husband David of Pauls Valley, OK, Lauren Gash of Kansas City, MO and Jessie Gash of Lexington, MO; nine great grandchildren; and one sister Artie Maxwell of Savannah, MO, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Laura was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Gash; Four brothers, George Butler, Willy Butler, Estell Butler and Chester Butler; and two sisters, Ocea Spicer and Evelyn Bowles.
