LARRY JOE GROVES Larry Joe Groves, 60, of Lexington, MO passed away Monday, November 10, 2014 at St. Lukes Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Joe Groves was born March 5, 1954 at Keokuk, IA, the son of Lester Eugene Howes and Mary Ann Boley Howes. He married Robin Rosetta Clay on August 13, 1983 at Lexington. Joe was a 1972 graduate of Lexington, High School and had served in the Army National Guard. Joe had been a foreman for Asplundh Tree Service, from which he retired. Joe loved spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, boating, and camping. Joe is survived by his wife, Robin, of the home. Children: Larry Joe Groves Jr, Lexington, MO, Kevin Mitchell Parker, Jr. and wife, Haley, Henrietta, MO, Raymond Lee Parker, Blue Springs, MO and Johnnie Joe Groves and fianc�, Melissa George, Lexington, MO. Nine grandchildren: Larry Joe Groves III, Anthony Ray Burkhart, Alexie Parker, Victoria Harris, Skylar Rose Parker, Johnathan D. Groves, Braden George, Blaze George, and Brooklyn Sargent. A brother, Jess Eugene Howes Jr. and wife, Linda, Maud, OK and a sister, Grace Stark, IL, three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Rick Howes and Bobby Howes, a brother-in-law, and two sisters-in-law. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington, MO. Burial in Machpelah Cemetery, Lexington. Visitation from 1 p.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
