LARRY DUANE �STUMP� BROOKS, SR. Larry Duane Brooks, Sr., 62, of Lexington, MO passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 at his home. Larry D. Brooks was born October 6, 1951, the son of Kenneth Burton Brooks, Sr. and DeArmour Jackson Brooks. Larry was a member of Second Baptist Church of Lexington. He had worked as a laborer for Douglas Chemical and did lawn mowing, including Forrest Grove Cemetery. Larry is survived by his mother, DeArmour Brooks, Lexington; children, Christopher Lamar Brooks and Larry Duane Brooks, Jr. both of Lexington. Brothers: Kenneth Brooks, Lexington and Darrell Brooks and wife, Dawn, of the United Kingdom. Sisters: Sandra Brooks Hackney and husband, Alfred, Lexington, Deborah Walker, Independence, MO and Denise Quinn and husband, Larry, Des Moines, IA. There are four grandchildren: Christian, Dustin, Emma, and Sydney. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Brooks, Sr. and a daughter, Sandra Denise Brooks. Services will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Lexington United Methodist Church, 1211 S. Business Highway 13, Lexington, MO.
