Larry Alonzo Davis, 79, of Wellington passed away January 18, 2022 at his home. Visitation for Larry and his wife, Ruth, will be from 10:00 until 11:00 am Saturday, February 5, 2022 at St. Luke Church, Wellington. A memorial service for Larry and Ruth will also be on Saturday at the church at 11:00 am. Inurnment will be at St. Luke Cemetery at a later date. Larry was born July 4, 1942 in Wellington to Ewing Alonzo and Alice (Nadler) Davis. He graduated from Wellington High School in 1960. On May 21, 1965 he married Ruth Ray in Wellington. She preceded him in death on January 4, 2022.
Larry was a lifelong cattle and crop farmer and served in the National Guard. He was a member of St. Luke Evangelical Free Church and was a volunteer fire fighter for the Wellington Fire Department. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Larry loved farming.
Survivors include his sons, Jimmy Davis and wife Dana of Wellington, Michael Davis and wife Chong of Wellington and Barry Davis and wife Gretchen of Odessa; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and dear family friends, Cindy and Tony Heathman of Osceola.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; sisters, Judy Finkemeier, Patricia Parr and Virginia Fanolio; and brother, Glenn Davis.
