Kenneth Andrew Wilson, Jr., 70 of Warsaw, Missouri formerly of Odessa, MO passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021, at the Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia, MO.

A private family service will take place at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Greenton Cemetery Association. Kenneth was born on June 1, 1951, in Odessa, MO to Kenneth Andrew Wilson, Sr. and Marjorie Dolores (Hackett) Wilson. He graduated in 1969 from Odessa High School. After high school Kenneth was drafted in 1972 and spent the next 23 years serving our country in the United States Army until retiring. Kenneth served in Vietnam and throughout his service earned the Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, Army Lapel Button, a Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, and Expert Rifle M-16. On October 22, 2019 Kenneth was able to attend the Honor Flight of the Ozarks Mission 16 and travel to Washington D.C. to see the monuments. After retiring from the Army, Kenneth went on to work for Wal-Mart for 19 years retiring in 2016 and farmed cattle. On March 23, 2011, Kenneth married Janice Elaine Elgin in Emporia, KS. Kenneth was a member of the VFW. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Kenneth enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Kenneth is survived by his Wife Janice Wilson of Warsaw, MO; three children, Joshua Wilson and wife Jennifer of North Augusta, SC, Ginger Mattingley and husband Jake of Pleasanton, KS and Megan Wilson of Warsaw, MO; seven grandchildren, Samantha Wright, Zachary Wilson, Benjamin Wilson, Alexandria Wilson, Lauren Mattingley, Logan Mattingley and Locklan Mattingley; one great grandchild, Emerson Wright; one sister, Charlene Murrah and husband Raymond of Clearwater, FL; and many step-children, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by a brother Benjamin “Bud” Draper, Jr.
