Funeral services for Kenneth C. Ussery, 83, Oak Grove, MO will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa. MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Visitation for Kenneth will be held on Monday, October 19, 2015 from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm at the funeral home with Masonic Rites at 6:00 pm. Burial will be at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO with Military Rites. Kenneth C. Ussery was born on December 15, 1931 at Salt Springs, MO; to Carl Henry and Ruth Lucille Funk Ussery. Kenneth was a decorated Army Veteran and served during the Korean War. Kenneth C. Ussery married Hattie Louise Swinney on January 28, 1955 in Lexington, MO. He was an over the road truck driver for Yellow Freight and retired after 20 years
Kenneth was a member of the Odessa Senior Center, a lifetime member of the Odessa V.F.W. and also a member of the Lexington Masonic Lodge, the American Legion, Higginsville and past member of the Mayview Lions Club.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, of the home. Two daughters, Gyla Cavin and husband, Randy, Lake Lotawana, and Tina Ussery-Franklin and husband, Wade Franklin, Oak Grove. There are 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Cecil Ussery and a sister Gwen Young.
