Kenneth A. Payne, 76, of Lexington, MO passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Lafayette Regional Health Center in Lexington. Kenneth A. Payne was born November 7, 1933 in Lexington, MO the son of William W. And Wilma M. Conklin Payne. He married Henryetta Rusow on March 5, 1966 in Lexington. Kenneth was self-employed and operated his own lawn service from 1972 until 2004 and was caretaker of Machpelah Cemetery from 1972 to 2004. He was a member of General Assembly of the First Born Church in Lexington. In addition to his wife, Henryetta Payne, of the home, he is survived by four children: Michael Payne,and wife, Jackie, Richmond, MO, Christine Calvert, Jeffery Payne, and wife, Karen, and William AWilly@ Payne and wife, Sherry, all of Lexington. He is also survived by six brothers: Harold Payne and wife, Mary, Independence, Donald Payne and wife, Helen, Richmond, Tessie Payne, Polo, James Payne and wife, Donna, Leeton, Clarence Payne and wife, Diana, Wellington, and Richard Payne and wife, LouNetta, Odessa, There are four sisters: Barbara Flanigan, Blue Springs, Elizabeth Heyer and husband, Chester, Columbia, Mary Rippy and husband, Jim, Richmond, and Judy Cobb and husband, Jack, Odessa, Mo. There are 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Preceded in him in death were his parents, two brothers, William and Alvin, and three sisters, Julia Mae Payne, Linda Sue Payne, and Dortha Howard. Services will be 10 a.m., Friday, September 24, 2010 at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. Burial in Machpelah Cemetery, Lexington. Visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Machpelah Cemetery Fund.
