Kathryn Carroll, 86 of Liberty, Missouri formerly of Marshall, MO passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Our Lady of Mercy Country Home in Liberty, MO.

Kathryn was born on January 28, 1932 in Marshall, MO to George F. and Mary Margaret (Matthews) Vogel. She graduated from Mercy High School in Marshall, MO. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Missouri Valley College and her Master's Degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia. Kathryn taught for 33 years for the Hardeman School District and for 9 years for St. Peters in Marshall. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Marshall. Kathryn enjoyed helping others, she sent packages to the soldiers overseas for 12 years. It started by sending her former students who were stationed overseas packages and expanded to anyone form the Marshall area. She delivered communion to the sick and shut-ins. She taught religious education to the young of the St. Peters Parish. Kathryn enjoyed Our Lady of Mercy Country Home in Liberty by attending Mass daily and the visits by Nuns, Priest, and many friends she met there as well as daily family visits. She was fortunate to be able to receive communion daily thanks to Sister Terry, when she could no longer attend Mass. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Kathryn enjoyed her yard and the flowers.
Kathryn is survived by two children, Mary Kay Epperson and husband Keith of Osage Beach, MO and Kenneth Michael Carroll and wife Joyce of Camdenton, MO; four grandchildren, Brian Epperson, Kerry Dalbey, Jennifer Thomas and Megan Reese; eight great-grandchildren, Chris Freeman, Suzanne Freeman, Zachary Dohrn, Gabby Epperson, Elizabeth Dalbey, Jackson Dalbey, Luke Dalbey and Landon Thomas; one great-great Grandchild, Riley Freeman; one brother, Mike Vogel; two sisters, Vivian Kane and Georganne Edwards; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kristen Dohrn, a grandson Steven Epperson in infancy; and two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Bleazard and Margaret Ellen Vogel.
