Mona Lou McCarthy

Mona Lou (Strodtman)McCarthy, 83, of Napoleon, Missouri, passed away November 27, 2013, at St. Marys Manor in Blue Springs, MO Mona was born December 24, 1929 in Napoleon, MO to Forest Oak Strodtman and Edna Larberg Strodtman. Mona married John Wesley(Mac) McCarthy on September 7, 1950, in Napoleon, MO. Mona and Mac had four children Terry Soendker ( Mike) Moberly, MO; Scott McCarthy ( Connie) Napoleon, MO; Sheri Bryant ( Craig) Napoleon MO; and Kyle McCarthy ( Rebecca) Gravette, AR; One Brother Jim Strodtman ( Marlene) Napoleon, MO. Mona had 10 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. Mona was a member of the St. Paul Church of Napoleon, MO where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years and was also a member of the Womens Fellowship group. Mona also loved being with family, along with going to church. She loved baking cooking and working in the garden. Mona was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley August, 24, 2000. Services will be Saturday, November 30, 2013, at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul Church in Napoleon, MO with burial at the St. Paul Cemetery Visitation on Friday, November 29, 2013, at the Ralph O Jones Funeral Home from 5-7 PM. Memorials may be made to the St. Paul Cemetery Fund, Kids First Foundation and Crossroads Hospice.
