Norman Dean Price

Norman Dean Price, 69, of Bates City, Missouri passed away on Monday May, 7, 2012 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 10, 2012 at the Patterson Cemetery near Bradleyville, MO. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home in Odessa, MO, 306 S. Second St., 64076, (816) 633-5524. Norman was born on February 24, 1943 in Romance, MO to Audie R. and Helen P. (Frazier) Price. He graduated in 1961 from William-Chrisman High School in Independence, MO. On July 5, 1963 he enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on May 14, 1965. On August 11, 1973 he was united in marriage to Huba Lorene Hodges in Kirbyville, MO, who survives of the home. He retired from KCPL in 2007 as a computer analyst after 35 years. In 1973 he gave his life to Jesus. He loved spending time outdoors gardening, hunting, fishing and genealogy. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Dr. R. Zane Price of Bates City, MO, a step-daughter, Cindy C. Frye and husband Eric, a granddaughter Rose Lynn Frye, two sisters, Jean Cook of Ava, MO and Mary Lou Price of Ava, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents.
