Karen "K.C." (Steelman) Wyatt

Karen “K.C.” (Steelman) Wyatt, 61, of Raytown, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at her home surrounded by family.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 South Second St., Odessa, MO 64076. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Mt. Tabor Cemetery, 12507 Mt. Tabor Rd., Odessa, MO, 64076.  Memorials are suggested to Mt. K.C. was born on September 9, 1961, in Kansas City, MO to John & Marlene “Jane” (Hobbs) Steelman.  She graduated in 1979 from Hickman Mills High School in Kansas City, MO. She later went on to dental school. On December 30, 1992, K.C. was united in marriage to Joe Lee Wyatt in Raytown, MO. In addition to raising her family and visiting with friends, K.C. loved riding Chopped Harleys and driving her 37 Dodge hot rod that Joe built specially for Karen. She loved gardening, but her passion was collecting rocks and rare gems. Karen was a very spiritual person and always admired the crescent moon and would often decorate with it.   

K.C. is survived by her husband, Joe Wyatt of Raytown, MO; father, John Steelman of Kansas City, MO; two children, Ashley Fisher of Kansas City, MO and Jeremy Wyatt and wife Angela of Independence, MO; five grandchildren, Brendon Fisher, Deseria Fisher, Triston Fisher, Austin Wyatt, and Carson Wyatt. One sister, Elaine Raymond and husband Jon of Lee’s Summit, MO; and one brother, Mark Steelman of Deep Water, MO and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. 

K.C. was preceded in death by her mother, and a sister-in-law, Shirley Steelman.
