Judith “Judy” Ann (McNeel) Steelman, 73, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Thursday, March 02, 2017 at the Lutheran Good Shepherd Home in Concordia, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday March 5, 2017 at the Greenton Baptist Church, 9345 Greenton Rd., Odessa, MO, 64076. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Burial will be in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Mt. Tabor Cemetery Association, Greenton Baptist Church or the Lutheran Good Shepherd Home Special Care Unit. Judy was born on May 26, 1943 in Odessa, MO to Thurston and Edith (VanMeter) McNeel. She graduated in 1961 from Odessa High School. On September 2, 1961 she married Ned Steelman in Odessa. Judy was a member of the Greenton Baptist Church, Walnut Row Homemaker Club and WMU. She was a homemaker, taking care of her family and home. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Judy enjoyed sewing and playing cards.
Survivors include her husband Ned Steelman of Odessa, MO; three children, Rex Steelman, Sr. and wife Tracey of Odessa, MO; Annette Colvin and husband Jim of Odessa, MO and Tonya Askew of Abilene, Kansas; three grandchildren, Rex Steelman, Jr. of Blue Springs, MO, Nicole Wade and husband Matt of Odessa, MO and Shane Steelman of Odessa, MO; one great grandchild, Westin Wade; three brothers, Ray McNeel, Wayne McNeel and wife Marilynn and Dwayne McNeel, all of Odessa, MO; two sisters, Janice Anderson of Washington, MO and Audra Fay Baker of Odessa, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents.
