Joshua Alan Amos, 29, of Grain Valley, Missouri formerly of Odessa, MO passed away on September 27, 2014 in Wall, South Dakota.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday October 3, 2014 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. Second St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Amos Education Fund. Josh was born on January 29, 1985 in Lexington, MO to Ralph and Kimberly (McAfee) Amos. He graduated from Grain Valley High School in 2003. While in college at Missouri Valley Josh participated in the wrestling program.
Josh was a member of the Labors Local 264. Josh was currently working for Interstate Sealant and Concrete. In addition to spending time with his family and friends he had a passion for watching his Royals, Chiefs, and Mizzou. His smile lit up the room with his outgoing personality that followed him everywhere. His proudest accomplishment was being a father to Ava and Ella. The sparkle in his eyes will always shine through in his daughters.
In addition to his parents, Josh is survived by two daughters, Ava and Ella Amos of Odessa, MO; two sisters, Ali Havercroft and husband Nathan of Blue Springs, MO and Katie Amos of Grain Valley, MO; a nephew, Kaden Havercroft of Blue Springs, MO; paternal grandfather, Alan Amos of Odessa, MO and paternal grandmother, Helen Amos of Lee’s Summit, MO; maternal grandparents, Robert and Demma McAfee of Odessa, MO; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
