Joseph “Jophus” Lee Wallace, 41, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 12, 2017.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., 64076, 816-633-5524 with Reverend Randy Messer officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery in Bates City, MO. Joseph was born on August 2, 1975 in Independence, MO to Sondra Hergemueller and David Wallace. He graduated in 1993 from Oak Grove High School in Oak Grove, MO. Joseph attended the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO for 2 years. He was currently employed with Lake City Ammunitions as a Supervisor for 10 plus years. On October 8, 2011 he married Patricia Wallace in Oak Grove, MO who survives of the home. In addition to spending time with his family and friends, Joseph enjoyed fishing, hunting, and target practicing at the shooting range.
Joseph is survived by his wife Patricia Wallace of Grain Valley, MO; mother and step-father, Sondra and Ronald Hergemueller of Odessa, MO; father, David Wallace of Grain Valley, MO; a daughter, Alyssa Wallace of Grain Valley, MO; two step-sons, Dylan Hamblin and Preston Hamblin of Grain Valley, MO; three brothers, David Wallace and wife Lisa of Lee’s Summit, MO; Brandon Wallace and wife Sarah of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Jimmy Mitchell of Kansas City, MO; Joseph also leaves a large extended family of aunts, uncles and dearly loved ones.
