JOSEPH ANTHONY BERETTA
Joseph Anthony Beretta, 96, of Lexington, Missouri passed away October 8, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be at the Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 10:30am. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 10, 2017, also at the funeral home, from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Burial will be in Lexington Memory Gardens with Military Rites. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, Lexington, Missouri and the Lexington VFW.
Joe was born July 23, 1921 in Lexington, to John C. and Josephine L. (Gasperino) Beretta. He served in the United States Army from 1943 to 1945 and retired from General Motors, where he worked as an electrician. He married Peggy Marie Murphy on February 1, 1948 in Waverly, Missouri. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Henrietta, Missouri.
Joe is survived by his wife, Peggy; his children, A.J. Beretta and wife Barbie of Eagle Nest, New Mexico and Joy Schroer of Lexington; five grandchildren; one brother, Gilbert Beretta of Arizona; and two sisters, Mary Grechus and Alice Buchanan-Summerlin, both of Lexington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Johnny and Rudy Beretta and one sister, Caroline Crow.
