JJordan Scott Schiager, 27, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018 at home.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Blue Springs, 4500 Little Blue Parkway, Independence, MO, 64057. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the church. Cremation will follow. Jordan was born on March 9, 1991 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Mark Scott Schiager and Sonya (Borgum) Schiager. He graduated from Tea Area High School in Tea, SD. Jordan was currently employed with R&D Leverage as a CNC Machinist/Programmer in Lee’s Summit, MO. Jordan was a member of the Crown Pointe Church in Lee’s Summit, MO. In addition to spending time with his family and friends, Jordan enjoyed sports and watching his siblings practice and play, Royals Baseball, Minnesota Vikings, playing the saxophone, music and festivals, camping, snowboarding, video games and Dachshunds. Jordan loved helping people. He had a beautiful smile that would lighten any room. He was thoughtful and loving. He gave the best hugs anyone could ask for. We will miss those hugs and smiles immensely. Jordan truly wore his heart on his sleeve. He was a brilliant young man destined for a great future. Every single “good-bye” always ended with “I love you mom”.
Survivors include Jordan’s father, Mark Scott Schiager of Sioux Falls, SD, his mother, Sonya Borgum-Meledge-Ade of Blue Springs, MO and step-father, Victor Meledge-Ade of Lee’s Summit, MO; two brothers, Elijah and Josiah Meledge-Ade both of Blue Springs, MO and two sisters, Odilia and Victoria Meledge-Ade both of Blue Springs, MO; maternal grandmother, Diana Borgum of Sioux Falls, SD and paternal grandparents, Roger and Donna Schiager of Sioux Falls, SD; a maternal great-grandfather, Lester J. Ames of Spokane, Washington; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jordan was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Larry Borgum; maternal great-grandmother, Helen Marie Ames and paternal grandparents, Porter and Hazel Schiager.
