Johnie Joe Olvera, 83, of Lexington, Missouri passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, in Waverly, Missouri surrounded by his family.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 20, 2025, at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington, MO. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Machpelah Cemetery, Lexington, MO.  Memorials are suggested to be sent to Friends of the Friendless Animal Rescue or the UMKC Law Foundation. Johnie was born on August 13, 1941, in Wakenda, Missouri to Jose Olvera and Lorine (Bultmann) Stanley. He attended high school in Carrollton, Missouri and later earned a GED. Johnie proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1962, stationed at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. On January 16, 1965, Johnie was united in marriage to Patsy (Lynn) Olvera in Carrollton, Missouri. After serving his country, Johnie worked for Remington Arms Company as a ballistics technician until his retirement. Along with spending time with family and friends, Johnie enjoyed watching the wildlife in his backyard, reading, and working on cars and anything else that might need a repair.

Johnie is survived by his loving wife, Patsy (Lynn) Olvera of the home, one daughter, Traci (Jason) Peterson of Richmond, MO; two grandchildren, Taylor and Carter; five brothers, Jimmie, Glenn, Ronnie, Donnie, and Jerry Olvera; two grand dogs, Earl Victor and Enzo Von; one great grand dog, Bandit; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Along with both his parents, Johnie was preceded in death by a daughter, Staci (Olvera) and a brother, Ricky Olvera.
