John D. Rodenberg, 77, Lexington, Missouri passed away December 5, 2024 at his home.

 

There will be a graveside service on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Lexington Memory Gardens Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.

Mr. Rodenberg was born May 25, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri to Lester A. and Pauline L. Rodenberg.

 

John lived his entire life on a farm in Lexington. He graduated from Lexington High School in 1965 and earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Central Missouri State University. He married the love of his life, Colette, on July 3, 1971. John worked at Higginsville Habilitation Center for 27 years, retiring in 2005. He loved being on the farm, and especially loved having cows and horses. Spending time with family, fishing and being outdoors were his favorite activities.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Thomas Neal Rodenberg; and his nephew, Thomas Clay Rodenberg.

 

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Colette Marie (Haase) Rodenberg of Lexington; daughter, Carmela (Jason) Muller of Columbia, Missouri; sons, John Daryl (Tina) Rodenberg of Richmond, Nicholas (Abby) Rodenberg of Mount Vernon, Missouri, and Colton Rodenberg of Lexington; four grandchildren. Lucas, Conner, Harper Rose and Calvin; a sister, Kathy Rodenberg of Somerset, New Jersey; a sister-in-law, Melba Lou Rodenberg of Richmond; and a niece, Angela (Rodenberg) Moore.
