JOHN LOUIS HILKER
John Hilker, 90 years old, of Lexington passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Shirkey Care Center, Richmond, Mo. Funeral Mass for Mr. Hilker will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lexington, Mo. Visitation for Mr. Hilker will be at the church on Wednesday also from 10 am until service time. Burial will be in the Lexington Memory Gardens Cemetery, Lexington. Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Church or the Boy Scout Troop #318.

John Louis Hilker was born on May 21, 1925 to John and Irene Buenemann Hilker. He married Elvira Marie Walker on June 3, 1946 in Lexington, MO. John was a WWII Navy Veteran, serving in the Pacific Theatre. John was a watchmaker for Estrin’s Jewelry Store in Lexington for 25 years. John then worked for Pat’s Boats and Motors as a boat salesman and book keeper for another 25 years. John and Marie also served as campground hosts at Roaring River State Park for 18 years.

John is survived by his three daughters, Jacque Bear and husband, Terry, Wende Oliaro and husband, Jeff and Carollyn Martin and husband Tony, all of Lexington. There are 12 surviving grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. . Also surviving are two half-sisters, Phyllis Bost, Las Vegas, NV and Mildred Ann McNelly, Carrolton, MO. John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marie, a son Dana Hilker and a granddaughter, Kerry Lynn Bear, a brother, Clifford Hilker, and a sister, Rose Hilker
