JOHN E. BOLLMEYER John E. Bollmeyer, beloved husband of Mary Jane, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather died August 12 at the age of 82. He was born in Lafayette County to Louis C. and Daisy Mae (Delaughter) Bollmeyer on September 10, 1927. He married Mary Jane Layton on February 14, 1951, at Waverly. He was an Army Veteran of WWII. John was a long time brick mason in Lafayette County and the surrounding counties. He is survived by his wife, Mary, two sons: Larry Bollmeyer and wife, Debbie, and Lawrence (Butch) Bollmeyer; one daughter, Linda Bollmeyer, all of Lexington. One grandson, Jonathan Bollmeyer and wife, Carrie, and one granddaughter, Tiffany Bollmeyer. The joy of his life was his great-grandson, Andrew (Drew) Michael, son of Jonathan and Carrie Bollmeyer. He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers; Louis, Lester and Ernst, Warrensburg and two sisters; Helen from Higginsville and Rosa of California. Services will be 2 p.m., Monday, August 16, 2010 at Solid Rock Fellowship Church, Lexington. Burial in Higginsville City Cemetery with Military Rites. Visitation 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, August 15, 2010 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. Memorials may be made to the Solid Rock Fellowship Church.
