Joan M. Maxwell, 86, of Lexington, MO passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Riverbend Heights Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Joan Maxwell was born July 6, 1929 in Lexington, MO to Ralph T. and Jossie Lee Harrison Maxwell. Joan attended Christ Episcopal Church. Joan was the Principal at St. Clair School at St. Clair, MO for more than 20 years.
Joan is survived by brothers: Henry Maxwell, Laurie, MO, and Donald and MaryBelle Maxwell, Lexington. Sisters: Betty Dunford, Dorothy Renno, and Rosemary and Del Scharnhorst all of Lexington, and Janice Wilhoit, Aiken, SC. Sisters-in-law, Patty Maxwell, Columbia, MO, and Judi Maxwell, Grain Valley, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Ralph and Larry.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. (660) 259-2245. Inurnment in Machpelah Cemetery, Lexington. Visitation from 2 until service time on Sunday. Memorials can be made to: Friends of the Friendless or Crossroads Hospice.
