Jim Lee Coffey, 75, of Odessa, Missouri passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at home surround by his loving family. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Odessa Church of Christ with Pastor Greg Ziegler officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00p.m. Burial will be in the Odessa City Cemetery in Odessa, MO. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Odessa Church of Christ, in the memo line please put Youth Fund. Arrangements are entrusted to the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. Second St., Odessa, MO, 64076, (816) 633-5524. Jim was born on February 2, 1937 in Macks Creek, MO to Aubra Justin and Ada May (Martin) Coffey. In 1942 he moved to Odessa. He graduated from the Odessa High School in 1955. On June 19, 1959 Jim was united in marriage to Judy Lynn Wood in Odessa who survives of the home. In 1997 after working 42 years he retired from Honeywell as a Pipefitter. He served six years in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed his morning walks with his beloved dog Miah, watching the Mizzou Tigers, golfing and the Indianapolis 500. Later in life he focused his time on watching his granddaughters sports games and his grandsons enjoying his motorized vehicles and root beer floats. He will be greatly missed by many. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, April Waibel and husband Rob of Odessa, MO, Ryan Coffey and wife Wendy of Liberty, MO and Rachel Renick and husband Murray of Portland, Oregon; seven grandchildren, Kelsey Waibel, Taylor Waibel, Morgan Waibel, Nick Coffey, Reece Coffey, Murray Renick IV and Emmit Renick; two sisters, Phyllis Pryor and husband Gene of Raytown, MO and Pat Coffey of Odessa, MO and several nieces. Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
