Jessy “Jay” Dean Smith, 32 of Lexington, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at University Hospital in Columbia, MO from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 S. St., Lexington, MO, 64067, 660-259-2245. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family in care of Samantha Rose. Jay was born on November 4, 1990, in Lexington, MO to Samantha Smith. Jay always had a kind and loving soul, his generosity still carries on, Jay was an organ donor and was able to save lives through his passing. He was currently employed as an Electrician with Fiedler Electric in Higginsville, MO. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Jay loved fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, but most of all spending time with his son.
Survivors include Jay’s mother and step-father, Samantha Denise and Guy Mitchell Rose of Marshall, MO; two children, Bryenn Michael Dean Beck and Izabella Mae Wallace; sister, Amanda Ranay Evans-Brown and husband Michael Evans-Brown of Tucson, Arizona; nephew, Trevor Evans; two nieces, Maia Evans and Seraphan Rooks; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
Jay was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lorraine Eaton Ashby Smith and grandfather, Norman Dean Smith; two aunts, Nancy Ashby Farley, and Dian Ashby Howell; and one uncle, William “Corky” Goodwin.
