Jerry Lee Howard

Jerry Lee Howard,79, of Odessa, Missouri was born on March 30th, 1945, in Kansas City, Kansas to Jess and Jule (Tignor) Howard, he passed away on February 12th, 2025, at WMMC hospital.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. A Memorial Service will follow at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 16, 2025, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s or Shriners. Jerry lived in Independence, Missouri and graduated from William Christman High School in 1964. He lived in Kansas City, Missouri before moving to Odessa in 1984 where he and his wife bought 40 acres and built their dream home. He married Shelia Kay Brockman November 7th, 1964 and they had just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. He worked at Armco Steel (5yrs) then owned his own business, Jerry’s Auto Repair & Welding in Independence, Missouri. Then he went to work at Lake City Ammunition Plant in 1982, he retired from there in 2010. Jerry loved gardening and always had a very bountiful garden which he shared with friends, neighbors, and everyone. 

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Shelia Kay Howard of the home; two children, Jerry Lee Howard II (wife Michelle) of Bates City, Missouri and Lisa Rachelle Parsons (Howard) and partner Danny Bribiesca of Odessa, Missouri; grandchildren, Justin Howard (fiancée MaKayla Hill), Colton Howard (fiancée Megan Eagan), Levi Dunkeson (wife Jordin) and Emily Dunkeson (fiancé Tim Widhalm) and TJ Bribiesca; one brother, Jean Howard (wife Sandie) of Warsaw, Missouri; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. 

Along with both parents; Jerry was preceded in death by three sisters, Patricia Lake, Connie Taylor, and Carol Dagley; and one brother, Jess Howard Jr.
