James T. Willard

James T. Willard, 93, of Lexington, MO passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Benchmark Healthcare of Lexington. James T. Willard was born March 3, 1918 in Lexington to William H. and Virgie Igo Willard. He married Rosalie Kelley on June 16, 1940 in Lexington. Mr. Willard was a Baptist. He was a WW II Navy Veteran, and served in the Pacific Theatre. He had worked as an electrician at Lake City Munitions Plant before retirement. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Surviving are four sons: James L. Willard and wife, Jane, Liberty, MO, Kenneth L. Willard, Lexington, Larry L. Willard, Kansas City, MO and Leslie E. Willard, Lexington. There are 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie, on September 19, 2003, his parents, brothers: Homer and Robert, and a sister, Elizabeth Brooks. Services will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 24, 2011 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. Burial in Lexington Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
