Roberta Sue Reed, 62, of Bates City, Missouri passed away on September 13, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00a.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, 300 E. Crestview, Odessa, MO, 64076, with Bishop Joshua Boswell officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 17, 2012 at the Church. Burial will be at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2012 in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, Odessa Ward. Condolences for the family may be left at www.ralphojones.com. Roberta was born on April 30, 1950 in New Castle, Indiana to Ralph Allen and Alverda J. (Crye) Ellis. She was a 1968 graduate of Pendleton High School in Pendleton, IN. She completed her degree as a L.P.N. and worked for over 30 years as a nurse. On November 24, 1968 she married Raymond Francis Reed who preceded her in death on July 23, 2011. She was a devoted member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints serving in many different areas of the Church to always help out. She loved to travel the United States with Raymond and the place they traveled to most was Branson, MO. She loved spending time knitting and with family. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth A. Reed of Bates City, MO and Robert F. Reed and wife Christina of Holt, MO; two brothers, Gene Crye and Harry Crye, a sister, Deanna Mills and husband Dennis and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Raymond she was preceded in death by her parents.
