James M. Booker

James �Jim� M. Booker, 83, of Lexington, MO passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, MO. James M. Booker was born July 18, 1930 in Mexia, TX, to Frank and Stella Kate Skeffington Booker. He married Juanita �Nita� Williams on April 14, 1952 in Jonesboro, AR. Jim was an Optometrist in Lexington for 50 years. He was a member of Christ Church Episcopal in Lexington. A member of the, A.O.A. (American Optometrist Association), Lexington Lions Club, Lexington Elks Lodge, and Past President of the Lexington Rotary Club, Jim is survived by three children: Jim Booker, Jr. and wife, Sidney, of Overland Park, KS, Doug Booker and wife, Sydney, of Sugar Creek, MO and Phyllis Schneider, St. Charles, MO. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Nita, on January 26, 2013, his parents, brothers Tom and Jack, sisters, Margaret Poche and Helen Bonebrake, and son-in-law, Danny Schneider. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 13, 2013 at Christ Church Episcopal in Lexington. Inurnment in Lexington Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to Christ Church Episcopal.
