James Francis Heimer

James Francis ''Jim'' Heimer, 85, of Lexington, passed away April 30, 2018 at Riverbend Heights Care Center, Lexington. Funeral Mass will be Friday, May 4, 2018 at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lexington. Visitation will be at the Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm with the Rosary at 5:30 pm. Inurnment will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Knights of Columbus.

Jim was born September 4, 1932 in Lexington, the son of Frank and Martha (Hanson) Heimer. He served in the United States Army from 1953 until 1955. Jim married Dorothy Cretzmeyer on June 2, 1956. He was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the V.F.W. and Turners. He was a farmer.

Jim is survived by his wife Dorothy, of the home; children, Laurie Lichte and husband Tim of Lexington, Ken Heimer and wife Rachel of Lexington, and Ann Matthews and husband Scott of Malden, Missouri; grandchildren, Eric Lichte and wife Kirby, Michael Lichte and wife Katie, Gina Lichte, Nicole Burch and husband Michael, Jay Heimer and wife Elizabeth, Scotty Matthews and wife Erin, JB Matthews and wife Candi, Travis Matthews and wife Danielle, Bobby Matthews and wife Amanda, Andy Matthews and wife Madison and Patrick Matthews; 18 great grandchildren; and sister Ruth Sellmeyer of Lexington.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Dorothy Pirnie, Sister Martha Heimer and Virginia Hoeflicker.
