James Roscoe Ford, 77, of Odessa, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd Street, Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. James was born on May 5, 1944, to Henry Lloyd and Cora Minerva (Gray) Ford in Odessa, MO. After graduating from Odessa High School in 1962, he enlisted in the United States Army National Guard on April 17, 1964, in Lexington, MO, serving until honorably discharged on December 4, 1964. James worked as a mechanic throughout the Kansas City area. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Odessa, NRA, and a life member of Bass Master’s Association. In addition to spending time with family and friends, James enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include two brothers, Robert Ford (Estrella) of Independence, MO, and Alvin Ford of Odessa, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Andrew Ford; a sister, Dorothy Wilson; and three brothers, Leslie, Walter, and Kenneth Ford.
