James C. �Sargent� George, 83 of Lexington passed away today, Sunday, February 16, 2014, at the Benchmark Healthcare Center, Lexington. MO. James Carl George was born on March 13, 1930 in Pleasant Hill, MO to Robert Thomas and Ruth Lillian Chandler George. James was an Army Veteran, serving in Korea, after serving in the Army James then enlisted in the National Guard. James married Ethel Mae Fitchner on June 13, 1954 in Pleasant Hill, MO. James had worked for United Telephone of Lexington as a lineman and trouble shooter for 35 years. James was a member of the 1st Christian Church, Pleasant Hill, the Lexington V.F.W. and American Legion and past den master of Scout Troop 318. Survivors include a son, Daniel George and wife, Theresa, Lexington, a daughter, Kimberly Warden, Smithville, MO. There are 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Roberta Martin and husband, Ray, Pleasant Hill, Mo. James was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a son, James. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at 2:00 pm and the Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 south street. Lexington, MO. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, at the funeral home from 6 to 8 pm. Burial will be in Lexington, Memory Gardens with Military rites, and memorials may be made to the family.
