Jakob Ryan Nixon, 31, of Kansas City, Missouri, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at his parents home in Odessa surrounded by his family.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, April 8, 2023, at the Calvary Baptist Church, 7995 Outer Road, Odessa, Missouri, 64076. A Celebration of Life will follow at 4:00 p.m., at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials and donations are suggested to Hope of Lake Lafayette. Jakob was born on June 28, 1991, in Kansas City, MO to Chad and Renee (Hunt) Nixon. He graduated in 2010 from Odessa High School in Odessa, MO. Jakob worked as a car salesman for Robert Brodgen’s Olathe Buick GMC. He was a member of Hope of Lake Lafayette. Along with spending numerous hours with his family and friends, Jakob loved playing Pokemon with his nephews and nieces. He also was known to put others before himself with his big heart. Jakob also enjoyed traveling, and playing in family game night that consisted of Blitz and Canasta.
Jakob is survived by both his parents; his fiancée, Megan Stockstill of Kansas City, MO; paternal grandfather Bob Nixon; maternal grandfather Terry (Teresa) Hunt; and maternal grandmother; Joyce Rodriguez; one sister, Nichole (Eli) Jacobs of Lee’s Summit, MO; five brothers, Mike (Cynthia) Claus of Holiday Island, AR, Tyler Corbin of Pleasant Hill, MO, Joshua (Miranda) Nixon of Bates City, MO, Justus (Charlsie) Nixon of Pleasant Hill, MO, and Zack Davis of Odessa, MO; four nephews, Jak Nixon, Jesse Nixon, Nikolai Tolstik, and Braxton Sprague; eight nieces, Kenzly Nixon, Ella Meek, Raylynn Ammons, Jayden Claus, Madison Sprague, Haylynn Austin, Raylee Nickel and Shelbi Austin; and many relatives and friends.
Jakob was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Kate Nixon, and maternal step grandfather John Rodriguez.
