Jacquline Jean “JJ” Anderson, 81, of Odessa passed away August 26, 2021 at Menorah Medical Center, Overland Park, Kansas. Memories and condolences may be left at
www.LedfordFamilyFH.com. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home. A funeral will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Wellington Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Lafayette County Cancer Coalition. JJ was born October 12, 1939 in Nebraska City, Nebraska to Cyrill and Pauline (Vance) Geringer. She graduated from Wellington High School. She worked for many years in customer service for Sears. JJ was a successful real estate associate for ReMax in Raytown and Lee’s Summit. She was recognized for her many achievements within real estate over the years. She was a Baptist by faith and was a member of the American Business Women Association, Dominoes Club and the Odessa Breakfast Club. JJ loved to have parties and to decorate for Christmas, with a tree in every room. She was caring and generous with her time and fundraising. She was the biggest fan for her grandchildren. JJ and Ron were often cheering them from the sidelines. She is very loved and will be missed.
Survivors include her daughter, Joleen Parker and husband Jerry of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren, Elijah Don Parker and wife Kristin of Odessa, Hayley Geneva Parker and companion Jordan Alexander of Lee’s Summit, and honorary grandchildren, Wesley Nelson and family of Odessa.; great grandchildren, Finley Raye Parker and Elijah Turner Parker; sister, Phyllis Caroline Schaberg of Blue Springs; companion, Ron Carlyle of Odessa; and many nieces and nephews, and wonderful friends.
JJ was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard “Andy” Anderson; her son, Jimmy Len Anderson; sisters, Geneva Mae Thurmon and Daisy Dean Grafton; brother, Cyrill Paul “Sonny” Geringer; and twin brother, Jack Joseph “Joe” Geringer.
