Jaclyn Rae Farmer, 46, of Lexington, Missouri passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO surrounded by family.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 21, 2023, at the Lexington United Methodist Church, 1211 S. Bus. Hwy. 13, Lexington, MO, 64067. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 21, 2023, at the church. In honor of Jaclyn please wear purple. Interment will be at Machpelah Cemetery in Lexington, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested for Jaclyn’s children’s education fund in care of Drew Emerson. Jaclyn was born on April 13, 1977, in North Kansas City, MO to Steven DeLuca and Dianna Farmer. She graduated from North Kansas City High School. Jaclyn was employed in Richmond, MO with Missouri Farm & Home Mutual Insurance Company where she worked in marketing and underwriting. Prior to that she worked for H&R Block and for many years in the restaurant industry. Jaclyn had a passion for serving others, she is a current Board Member and Treasurer of the Richmond Chamber of Commerce and Board Member of the Lexington Booster Club. She has spent many hours volunteering with various needs throughout the Lexington community, and for helping people in general. Jaclyn had an infectious smile and laughter about her, the moment she walked into a room it would light up. Jaclyn’s most heroic gift was the gift of life, she was an Organ Donor and thanks to her heroic act, now others have a new chance at life. She loved attending her children’s sporting events, gardening, flowers, and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her fiancé, Drew Emerson of the home; four children, Dustin Christian, Jett Christian, Braxton Emerson, and Madaux Emerson, all of the home; a sister, Carmen Bryan of Lexington, MO; father and mother-in-law, David and Malia Emerson of Lexington, MO; close family friends, Glen and Debbie Bagley, and Danny Hoeppner all of Lexington, MO; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Jaclyn was preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Finace Dale and Betty Jean Farmer.
