Jack Dean Waterworth

Jack Dean Waterworth, 88, of Wellington, Missouri passed away on November 22, 2022, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Blue Springs surrounded by his family.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2022, at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2^nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076.  A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2022, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Greenton Cemetery, Odessa, Missouri. Jack was born on January 20, 1934, in Competition, Missouri to Charles and Bryna (Jones) Waterworth. He graduated from Plato High School in 1953. After graduation, he worked for the gas company, retiring from the Missouri Gas Energy. Jack was also a part time farmer and enjoyed fox hunting and running his dogs.

Jack is survived by his wife, Inez (Goldsmith) Waterworth, his three children; Mike Waterworth and wife Gwen of Wellington, Missouri, Sherry Young and husband Mark of Boulder, Colorado, and Steven Waterworth and wife Susan of Odessa, Missouri, his grandchildren; Michael Waterworth, Logan Waterworth (Courtney), Andrew Young, Alex Young, Adam Young, Allison Young, Atticus Young, Blaine Waterworth (Nikki), Blake Waterworth (Sheila) and Britney Waterworth; great children Lucas, Jackson, Hadley, Gracyn and Austyn Waterworth; sister Norma Hirt and a brother Chuck Waterworth.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Florene Vardiman, Ernest Hall, Walter Waterworth, Bill Waterworth and Bob Waterworth.
