Eugenia K. Bowlin

Eugenia Kathleen Bowlin, 90, of Odessa, Missouri passed away Friday, February 3, 2012. Memorial graveside services will be held at 11:00a.m., Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Odessa City Cemetery in Odessa, MO with Reverend Terry Hodges officiating. Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Odessa. Arrangements are entrusted to the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. Second St., Odessa, MO, 64076, (816) 633-5524 Eugenia was born July 6, 1921 in Manhattan, Illinois to Rufus H. and Florence Wilson Kelly. After graduating from the Odessa High School in 1939 she attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO. On August 14, 1942 she was united in marriage to Hubert Dale Bowlin in Odessa. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Odessa. She retired from the United Telephone Company as a Telephone Operator. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She loved to cook for anyone who would sit down and eat, she loved talking on the phone, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter-in-law, Linda Carol Burney of Odessa; three grandchildren, Eric Dale Bowlin of Odessa, Troy Dale Bowlin of Odessa and Carol Lynn Halliburton and husband Joshua of Branson, MO; four great-grandchildren, Max Tyler Royston, Matthew Halliburton, Nathaniel Halliburton and Nicholas Halliburton; a brother, Jack Rufus Kelly of Blue Springs, MO. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, James Dale Bowlin and a brother-in-law, John Doyle Bowlin.
