Ira Lee Hammond

Graveside funeral services for Ira Lee Hammond, 74 of Waverly, MO will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 11 am at the Waverly City Cemetery, Waverly, Mo. There will be no visitation. Mr. Hammond died on Sunday, May 29 at his residence. Ira Lee Hammond was born on February 4, 1937 in Osceola, MO to Lewis and Edith Dietz Hammond. He married Rachel Markley on October 18, 1958 in Wellington, Mo. Mr. Hammond was a self-employed mechanic. Mr. Hammond belonged to the Assembly of God Church and was an Evangelist. Survivors include his wife, Rachel, of the home. Two sons Terry Hammond and wife, Kathy, Lowell, AR; Ron Hammond and wife, Amber, Lexington, and a daughter Cheryl Hammond, Alma, MO. There are 13 Grandchildren, and 5 Great Grandchildren. Mr. Hammond was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Lewis Loren Hammond and a sister, Edith Lorene Gadberry.
