ILA JEAN LICHTE

Ila "Jean" (Robbins) Lichte, 91, of Lexington, MO passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Meyer Care Center in Higginsville, MO. Funeral services for Jean will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Trinity United Church of Christ, Lexington. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time October 19. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lexington. Memorials can be made to: Trinity UCC Memorial Fund, C.A.R. Fund (Cancer Assistance Relief), or to Sounds of the Heart.

Jean was born July 1, 1925 at Triplett, MO, the daughter of Macajah N. and Annie Eliza (Meadors) Robbins. She married Paul A. Lichte on March 6, 1949 at Lexington. Jean was a homemaker. Jean graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1943. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Lexington, taught Sunday School for many years and was a member of the Trinity U.C.C. Women's Circle. She was an active member of the Burns Extension Club and a volunteer at the Lexington Library, Clothes Closet, and the Anderson House. She created and passed on family traditions - family meals, holidays, and apple butter. In addition to loving her family and friends, she was a lover of nature and books, especially Jane Austen.

Jean is survived by five children: Cathy Bear (Pat), Lexington, Elizabeth Crocker (Tom), Washington, DC, David Lichte, (Julie), Livingston, MT, Tim Lichte (Laurie), Lexington, and Sarah Savage ( Dean ), Bozeman, MT. There are nine grandchildren: Jenifer Ashley, Lexington, Mandy Maddox (Brian), Fredericksburg, VA, Eric Lichte (Kirby), Lexington, Michael Lichte (Katie), Lexington, Gina Krahulik (Randy), Overland Park, KS, Emily Lichte, Madison, WI, Edward Crocker, Washington, DC, Thomas Crocker, Washington, DC, and Samantha Savage, Bozeman, MT. Six great-grandchildren: Lee Roy Ashley, III (Trey), Lexington, Megan and Carlee Maddox, Fredericksburg, VA, and Chael, Ellie and Case Lichte, Lexington. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, her parents, brothers, Howard, Max, and Leon Robbins and sisters, Marie Baker, Sybil Scott, Marian Robbins and Lois Davison.
