HUGH FRANCIS WILSON
Hugh F. Wilson, 87, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Country Oak Village Care Center, Grain Valley, MO. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, Odessa, MO. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 1:00 PM at the funeral home until service time. Burial will be at the Odessa Cemetery, Odessa, MO. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
Hugh Francis Wilson was born on June 30, 1928 in Paris, MO. to Hugh R. and Snody F. Smith Wilson. He married Mary Lou George, June 28, 1952 In Mexico, Missouri. Hugh was a World War II Veteran and had enlisted in the Army Air Corp and was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. Hugh was not only a teacher, but also served as a Baptist Minister.
Survivors include his children, Joyce Cook and husband, Darrell, Independence, MO; Donna Van Winkle and husband James, Stover, MO; Kay Hawks and husband, Terry, Lees Summit, MO; Janelle Shepherd and husband, Mike, Odessa. MO. There are 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Hugh was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in 2012 and a son, Daniel Wilson.
