Herbert Edward Amor, 75, of Lexington passed August 4, 2018 at his lake home. Memorial services will be Friday, August 10, 2018 at 10:30am at Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. Visitation will also be at the funeral home on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Inurnment will be in Lexington Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Elks Lodge 749 or the American Heart Association. There will be a time of food and fellowship Friday evening at 5:00pm at the Elks Lodge in celebration of Herb's life.
Herb was born March 30, 1943 in Lexington to Percy and Thelma (Brown) Amor. He graduated from Lexington High School in 1961 and attended Central Missouri State University. He married Barbara Riner on June 9, 1963. Herb worked for Ford Motor Company for 30 plus years retiring as a superintendent. He also farmed. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 749 and Turners Association.
His loves were first and foremost his family. He loved farming, gardening, hunting and fishing. He was a Christian, a patriot and a leader. He loved his friends dearly. He was very involved with Elks Lodge 749 and was Exalted Ruler three times. He enjoyed socializing at Turners and anywhere his friends were.
Herb is survived by his wife, of the home; daughter, Wendy Neubauer and husband John of Atlanta, Georgia; son Mark Amor and wife Julie of Liberty, Missouri; four grandchildren, Ian and Colin Neubauer and Nathan and Adelyn Amor; sister Nancy Salyer and husband Jack of Warsaw, Missouri; and many nieces nephews and cousins.
