“Chicky” Helen June (Wilson) Washam, 91, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020 in Rocky Mount, MO.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2020 at the Life Point Assembly of God, 707 S 1st St, Odessa, MO, 64076. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the McKendree Cemetery, State Hwy HH &, McKendree Rd, Odessa, MO, 64076. Chicky was born on August 18, 1929 in Liberty, MO to Samuel Logan and Pearl May (Thomas) Wilson. She was a homemaker and member of New Beginnings Church in Odessa, MO. Through the years she was always active in her church by teaching Sunday school and overseeing the nursery. Chicky enjoyed cooking, baking, and going to yard sales. Chicky's focus in life was her family and taking care of them.
Survivors include four sons, Rick Washam (Debbie) of Oak Grove, MO, Bruce Washam (Linda) of Odessa, MO, Curtis Washam (Cindy) of Rocky Mount, MO, and Rob Washam (Capri) of Lee’s Summit, MO; a son in law, Ben Livingston of Independence, MO; ten grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Chicky was preceded in death by a daughter, Wendy Sue Livingston; a son, John Thomas Washam in infancy; four brothers, Russell, Lewis, Harvey, and twin brother Samuel “Bob” Wilson; six sisters, Freida Bell Osburn, Leta Jane Steamer, Violet Nadine Peters, Mary Melba Gibson, Annie Orene Cox, and Emma Irene Nicholson.
Pallbearers will be, Ryan Rupar, Matthew King, Jerry Washam, Kevin Hamel, Zach Washam, and George Roberts.
