Helen Ida Siders

Helen Ida (Whitehead) Siders, 96, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Apple Ridge Care Center in Waverly, MO.

Helen was born on September 27, 1926 in Bethany, MO to Bert and Lillie (Williams) Whitehead. She graduated from South Harrison High School in Bethany, MO.  Helen was united in marriage to Eddie Elmer Siders on July 1, 1949.  Helen worked for many years at Sears & Roebuck in Kansas City and then retired after 20 years of service from the Internal Revenue Service in Kansas City, MO.  She was a member of the Gashland Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO.  In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Helen enjoyed her dogs. 

Survivors include three children, Russell Siders and companion Sherry O’Dell of Kansas City, MO, Elton Siders of Kansas City, MO, and Brenda Siders-Ridinger and husband Terry of Ft. Pierce, FL; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a special friend, Halley O’Dell; and many relatives and friends. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Salmon.
