Helen Orene Martin,86, Lexington, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City. Funeral services will be Monday, April 17 at 1:00pm at the Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. Visitation will be Monday, from noon to 1:00pm, also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Machpelah Cemetery, Lexington.
Helen was born January 7, 1931 in Lee's Summit, Missouri to Fannie Lillian Parsley Winningham. She married Hubert Martin May 1, 1948 in Lexington. Helen worked for 30 years at Lake City Ammunitions Plant, retiring in 1993.
She is survived by her husband; three children, Tom Martin and wife Rosemary of Blue Springs, Darlene Crockett of Blue Springs and Connie Hildreth and husband Greg of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Sarah Gilman and husband Seth of Prairie Village, KS, Amanda Woodward of Norman, OK, Aaron Stacy and wife Jenny of Blue Springs, Bryon Stacy and wife Debbie of Blue Springs, Scott Horstman and wife Kim of Blue Springs, Chad Horstman of Kansas City, and Sean Crockett of Blue Springs; 14 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; brother, Preston Winningham, Lexington and sister, Gloria Winningham, Lexington.
Helen was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Winningham; two brothers, Delmar Winningham and Elmer Winningham; and two sons-in-law, Allen Horstman and Kevin Crockett.
