Helen Louise Adamson, 93, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at the Monterey Park Rehabilitation and Care Center in Independence, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday July 29, 2015 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd st., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Mt. Helen was born on February 23, 1922 in Odessa, MO to William and Effie Alice (Westerhold) Specker. She was a woman who loved unconditional and was unconditionally loved. Helen married Delbert Louis Adamson on September 5, 1956 in Odessa, MO. He preceded her in death on April 25, 1970. Helen loved the simple pleasures in life like gardening and making a delicious meal for their friends and family. She was frequently giving herself to others making sure that not even a stranger needed anything. Her love for the Lord showed through in every interaction. She is in the arms of The Savior now where we know she is happy.
Survivors include three children, Linda Arnett and husband Dale of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Ray Adamson and wife Mia of Odessa, MO and Carolyn Adamson of Lee’s Summit, MO; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers, Alfred Specker and wife Betty of St. Joseph, MO and Archie Specker and wife Chris of Odessa, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Adamson; four brothers, W.A. Specker, Jr., Everett, Aaron and Carl Lee Specker; and one sister, Margaret Tye.
