Funeral services for Hazel L. Nadler, 96 of Wellington, MO. will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Luke’s Evangelical Free Church, Wellington. Visitation will also be held on Friday from 10:00 am until service time. Burial will be at St. Luke’s Cemetery, Wellington. Memorials may be made to St. Luke’s Evangelical Free Church or the Kansas City Hospice House. Mrs. Nadler passed away on Tuesday, October 06, 2015 at Kansas City Hospice House.
Hazel Laverne Rogers was born on June 3, 1919 at Higginsville, MO to William and Myrtle Gunter Rogers. She married Lester Nadler on October 4, 1945 in Kansas City, MO. Mrs. Nadler had worked as a cook for the Wellington School District and also worked at the Lexington Care Center in the dietary department until she retired. Hazel was a long time member of St. Luke’s Evangelical Church, Wellington.
Survivors include her two sons, Henry Nadler and wife Roberta, Overland Park, KS; and Terry Nadler and wife, Rose Ann, Fenton, MO. There are four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Hazel has two sisters and a brother also surviving, Nadine “Deanie†Stuerke, Higginsville, Mo; Donna Meyers and husband, Ernest, Concordia and Glenn Rogers, Nashville, TN. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, six brothers, William, Fred, Alford, Marvin, Carl and Robert and two sisters, Helen and Betty.
