Gloria E. Penniston

Gloria E. Penniston, 89, of Lexington passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Lafayette Regional Health Center, Lexington. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 3:00 pm at the Wellington City Cemetery, Wellington, MO. Visitation will be held from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm at the Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Wellington City Cemetery, Wellington, Mo Gloria Edith Brock was born on December 5, 1924 in Wellington, Missouri to John and Leona Short Brock. She married William Lee Penniston, Jr. on April 15, 1943 in Independence, MO. and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Penniston had been a homemaker but had worked at Pratt & Whitney, now Lake City Munitions, as part of the War effort. Survivors include her children, Gail Lee Duncan and husband Richard, Yuma, AZ; Karen Lee Wingard and Susan Lee Farris both of Richmond, MO. There are 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, John Brock Thomas Brock and Arthur Brock all of Lexington, Mo; and three sisters, Linda Schick, Lexington, Mo; Marcia Stacy and husband, Bill, Excelsior Springs, MO; and Betty Gallegos. Albuquerque, NM. Mrs. Penniston was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Darrell Brock and sisters, Nelcena Keller and Jean Brock.
