Gerald D. Baker, 87, of Odessa, MO passed away July 15, 2019 at his home.
The family will host a Graveside Memorial service at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, September 1, 2019 at the Countryside Cemetery, 955 N.W. 1101 Rd, Odessa, MO. Cremation has been entrusted to Ralph O. Gerald was born February 15, 1932 in Amarillo, TX to Vernon and Mamie (Cook) Baker. After attending high school, he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in 1949. He worked for many years as an over the road truck driver for Roberts International Trucks out of Emerald, TX. Gerald united in marriage to Carla S. Howard in 1975. In addition to spending time with friends and family, Gerald enjoyed traveling and completed his “bucket list” which included seeing all 50 states.
Survivors include his wife, Carla Baker of Odessa, MO; children, Debra Geiman of Odessa, MO Sandra Tocky of Carrollton, TX, Barbara Morton and husband, Larry of North Richland Hills, TX, Lynora Darden and husband Gerald of Odessa, MO, and John Anderson of Houston, TX; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Mark Baker; one grandson, Christopher Morton; and two brothers, James and Vernon Baker.
