George Giblin, 94 of Lexington, Missouri passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at home surrounded by family.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2024, at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 S. St., Lexington, MO, 64067. Rosary will follow from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2024, at the funeral home. A Rite of Committal will follow at Lexington Memory Gardens. George was born on August 30, 1929, in Lexington, MO to Joseph and Mary (Thomas) Giblin. He attended Immaculate Conception Grade School and graduated in 1947 from Lexington High School. After high school, George attended Wentworth Military Academy and graduated with his associate degree. George was a veteran of the United States Army, after being honorably discharged he continued to serve in the Missouri National Guard for several years. On April 15, 1955, George was united in marriage to Linda Trent at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. George was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lexington. George and Linda owned and operated the Wentworth Military Academy Snack Bar for 27 years until retiring. George also was part owner in Lexington Memory Gardens Cemetery for numerous years. In addition to spending time with family and friends, George enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.
George is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Linda Giblin of Lexington, MO. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by seven sisters, Maliea Minum, Nora Sfear, Roxie Hassan, Helen Koury, Frances Hassan Mudrick, Hannah Simon, Lula Kuykendall, and Marie Giblin in infancy; and two brothers, William Giblin, and Thomas Giblin.
