George “Ron” Ronnie Brown, 76, of Odessa, Missouri formerly of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, August 30, 2024, at Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO 64076, 816-633-5524. Ron was born October 1, 1947, in Warrensburg, Missouri to George T. Brown and Lousie (Mapes) Schlichter. He graduated in 1966 from Warrensburg High School. After high school, Ron was drafted into the United States Army with the 20th Engineer Battalion from 1967 and was honorably discharged 1969. He served one year in Vietnam. Ron was united in marriage on June 26, 2017, to Margaret (Martin) Brown in Warrensburg, Missouri. Ron was employed as a painter, where he painted cars and motorcycles. He also worked in construction. In his later years, he enjoyed working as a farm hand where he attended cattle and bailed hay. Ron enjoyed telling jokes, car racing and watching his son, Luke race for many years. This is something that made Ron very proud. He loved his family and friends. He lived a colorful and happy life. He will be deeply missed.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Brown of Odessa, MO; one son, Luke (Jamie) Feeback of Harrisonville, MO; two stepsons, Jon (Maria) Koenig of Odessa, MO and Justin Koenig; one granddaughter, Presley Feedback of Harrisonville, MO; one step grandson, Andrew Koenig of Odessa, MO; one brother, Bill (Ann) Brown of Jefferson City, MO; one nephew, Tyler Brown of Jefferson City, MO; two nieces, Jessica (Rodney) James of Jefferson City, MO and Cassandra (Trent) Peneston of Conroe, TX; two great nieces, Angaleah Bates and Oliva Peneston; one great nephew, Noah Peneston; a cousin, Shirley (Mickey) Collins of Leeton, MO, and many relatives, and friends.
Along with both his parents and stepfather Bud Schlichter, Ron was preceded in death by a bother, Gary Brown.
