Genevie E. Wilson

Genevie E. (Lang) Wilson, 84 of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023, at home surrounded by family.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Greenton Baptist Church, 9345 Greenton Rd., Odessa, MO, 64076.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church.  Interment will be in Greenton Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Greenton Baptist Church.  Memories of Genevie and condolences for her family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Ralph O. Genevie was born on October 2, 1938, in Mayview, MO to James M. and Mildred Erline (Clouse) Lang.  She was united in marriage to Billy Lee Wilson on November 24, 1954.  Genevie retired from Lyons Diecasting in Levasy, MO.  She was a member of Greenton Baptist Church and the Eastern Star.  In addition to spending time with family and friends, Genevie enjoyed fishing, reading, bingo and spending time at the boat. 

Genevie is survived by her husband of 68 years, Billy Lee Wilson of Odessa, MO; three daughters, Diana Payne and husband Clarence of Wellington, MO, Tammy Hannsz of Richmond, MO, and Penny Schumaker and husband Scott of Wellington, MO; six grandchildren, Billy Wilson, Jeremy Hayes, Lindsay LaBella, Lana Ryun, Jessica Schumaker, and Leslee Strohman; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Judy Myer of Wentzville, MO; and many relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Genevie was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Theresa Brooke; a great-grandson, Jaiden “Chance” Houston; and two sons-in-law, Pete LaBella and Jerry Hannsz.
